[deleted] For non-IT professionals, it takes time to learn programming, and some give up after a few months. You can definitely come back to programming anytime later, but UI/UX will also give you exposure to learning and collaborating with programmers. This experience is valuable even if you decide to dive into programming later.
In UI/UX, you can start your career quickly, gain exposure faster, and feel stable—this can be a great career booster. (Everything I said is from a career perspective. If your heart is truly set on coding, go for it.)
